We recognise that in our day-to-day operations we inevitably impact on the environment and we wish to minimise this. GrowthMesh is committed to the continual improvement of its environmental performance.
Although our environmental impacts are small, we are seeking to control and reduce our impact in five key areas across our two locations:
Minimise the impact of energy – specifically electricity use for power and lighting
We have installed low-energy LED bulbs for all our lighting needs
All electrical office equipment is set to energy saving mode and turned off overnight
Office power comes from 100% renewable electricity
Minimise the impact of business travel – specifically car mileage and air travel
We maximise the use of public transport for business travel, including tram, train, and bus
We have increased the use of MS Teams, Zoom and Webex to increase efficiency and reduce travel
Minimise the production of waste – specifically paper and event materials
Printing is limited; printers are on eco-settings, set to duplex (double sided) and mono (black and white) as standard
Office paper is Image Recycled High White 100% post-consumer fibres, FSC® Recycled certified and PCF (Process Chlorine Free), EU Ecolabel Certification (No. FR/011/003)
Empty HP toner cartridges are recycled via the HP Planet Partners return and recycling service
Trello and OneDrive are used to (almost) eliminate document printing
We support the use of electronic signatures (e.g. DocuSign with two clients) to eliminate paper contracts, NDAs, and work orders
Minimise the impact of equipment
Laptops: ENERGY STAR® 6.1 and above
Printers: HP Auto-On/Auto-Off technology, two-sided printing, access to HP cartridges recycling programme
Mobile phones: EPEAT Gold Rated in accordance with the requirements in UL 110 Standard for Sustainability for Mobile Phones
Minimise the impact of waste disposal
Our recycling and non-recyclable waste arisings are disposed of using a registered waste collector
We observe and comply with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) regulations
In addition, Ben Wilson (a Director of GrowthMesh) is a Practitioner of the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (PIEMA) and seeks to look for further ways to reduce our impacts – and the impact of our clients through the support, guidance and advice we give.
